I love this stamp, but sometimes get stumped on using it. Here is one of the designs I really like – I've attached pearls on the dots and continued the theme on the bottom.

Triple Treat Flower Pocket Card

I hadn't made a pocket card in a long time. I wanted to be sure to use our gorgeous Spice Cake designer series paper in this design. Isn't it pretty? I know I would never come up with this color combination on my own. Stampin' Up! inspires me so much with the DSP color combinations! This card has Pool Party, More Mustard, Early Espresso, and Sahara Sand along with Very Vanilla colors. My customers can't get enough of this paper!

Salute to Spooky Bingo Bits

Where did October go? I had grand dreams of blogging every day and sharing all my Halloween-inspired creations! Oh well. Tonight I'm sharing some of my favorite cards made with the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set.

And here is one of my favorites this season – using the embossed monogram technique -

Spooky Bingo Bits Peekaboo Frame Halloween Card

The new Peekaboo Frame die for our Big Shot machine is one of the best new products in the Holiday Mini Catalog! Here is an example of it with the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set (which fits the littler frames PERFECTLY).

Here is a close-up view of the "peekaboo" section:

I used the direct-to-paper technique with Wisteria Wonder ink on the Wisteria Wonder card stock. I am obsessed with scrunching ribbon with my Sticky Strip. This time I added a little bling on each end with a basic gem. I stamped my RIP in Elegant Eggplant and punched it out with my 1-3/8" circle punch. I adhere that piece down first and then used mini glue dots to adhere the frame down.

Keep in mind when you use the Peekaboo Frame die, you should only be using one piece of card stock at a time as it does cut and score.

Double-Dip Embossed Harry Potter Hat

Today's card features the witch's hat from Jack of All Trades. When I first looked at this stamp set in the catalog, I knew I had to make a Harry Potter themed card from it! This is my Sparkly Sorting Hat card.

Last month, I taught my stampers how to do the double-dip embossing technique. It is a great way to add some sparkle to your embossing! I added a small amount of Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to my Black Embossing Powder. Be sure to mix well.

To create the black swirls (or dementor effect), all I did was rub some StazOn on my glossy white card stock. The "spooky" phrase comes from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set!

Gently Falling

Wow…it has been such a long time since I have have posted. Sorry about that…real life is getting in the way these days. I am planning on spending most of the morning updating my blog and adding content. I'll get back on track, I promise!

Last night I held my Fabulous Fall Stamp Camp. I made pumpkin cake (recipe in my recipe section) and played some Vince Guaraldi (Charlie Brown/jazz music pianist and composer). We had a small but truly wonderful group.

One of my all-time favorite stamp sets has to be the new Gently Falling stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Fall is my favorite season, and the leaves in this set get me in the autumn mood!

One of the very first techniques I taught my Technique Tuesday crowd over 4 years ago was the Vanilla Double technique. It is a quick and easy technique that always turns out stunning. So here is what I came up with for last night's class:

The Spice Cake DSP is lovely to work with. I am surprised how much I am using it…the Pool Party color is a pretty accent with the other colors. The new Velvet RIbbon is dreamy! This scan is the prototype for the card we made – I cut the DSP down a little bit and we used the Vintage Trinkets brads instead at the stamp camp.

A Long Farewell to Autumn Harvest

Today's long farewell is to Autumn Harvest. This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets! The stamp set can be used for both elegant and whimsical cards…leave out the cute little face and you've got a fabulous card like this….

Then, if you wanted a sweet little card to send to your favorite pumpkin, add the face image like this card:

You could even leave out the pumpkin all together! Here is a rich-looking card using only the leaf from the stamp set!
