Flipping Out for My Stamper’s 10 Group

Throughout my almost 13 years as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’ve been blessed with some fabulous Stamper’s 10 Groups.  This year’s group started last week, and I wanted to show something summery and fun to start off the our journey!

So for our first project, my stampers created Flip Flop Tops.  Here is what my sample looked like before:

Flip Flops Unadorned

I just picked these flip flops up at the dollar store.  With basic supplies like Fun Foam (Melon Mambo Pink and Sparkly Silver), a hot glue gun, and some large gems, we created Flip Flop Tops using the Fun Flowers Big Shot Die and Mr. Big Shot!

Flip Flops Adorned

Aren’t they FABULOUS???  You could also make headband toppers, pins, or even purse accents!  Speaking of purses, some of my fellow 31 Gifts consultants are on their way to Atlanta for convention!  Woo Hoo, ladies!  Have a great time!  Can’t wait to see what’s new!

I’ve been known to say…”If I could sleep with my Big Shot, I would.”   I LOVE OUR BIG SHOT.  It makes even the newbie crafter look like a professional!

Modern Mosaic Embossed Clear Box Gift Holder

At my hostess appreciation event this spring, my wonderful hostesses made this sweet make and take.

2013 Hostess App Chalk Talk Embossed Box

First we used the Mosaic Madness embossing folder to emboss the clear box.  It is so striking in real life.  Inside the box was a heart-shaped chocolate-covered cookie. We added little pink shreds and tied it with Primrose Petals ribbon. We attached the tag with Baker's Twine. The phrase is from Chalk Talk, one of the new stamp sets in the catalog, and it is mounted on the new Artisan Label punch.

The ladies loved the make and take.  They can reuse the box after eating the yummy cookie!

2013 Hostess Appreciation Invitation Dress Up Framelit

This May I hosted my annual Hostess Appreciation event.  I was actually pretty stoked about how my invitation turned out!

2013 Hostess Appreciation Party Invite

I used the Apothecary Accents framelit plus the Dress Up framelit.  My stampers know I love polka dots – and our Polka Dot DSP is my favorite!

My Christmas Wish List

 My Christmas Wish List

Is the season upon us?  Say it isn't so.

I am not ready; So busy…on the go!

Who will help keep me from going insane?

My Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,  Jane Hignite is her name .

You've asked me to list what I want under the tree.

It's stampin' stuff I desire for Santa to bring me.

So, the list is below, be sure to check it twice.

I'm sure you'll choose something that's especially nice!

And on Christmas morning I won't shed a tear

Over a misfitting dress or a pair of underwear.

For the things I want most are not at the mall,

And since I've been so good, couldn't I have it all?

Can't decide what to buy, too many choices for you?

A Stampin' Up! gift certificate would be wonderful too!

Thank you honey, thank you dear….

You know I love stamping all through the year!

My Mother’s Day Wish List

My Mother's Day Wish List

Is it Mother's Day already? Just say it isn't so.

I cook, clean, and carpool; So busy…on the go!

What relaxes me and brings me joy, besides my family?

Stamping and creating…that's what brings me glee!

I don't want a vacuum, a blender, or a toaster,

I don't want to take a trip to ride a roller coaster.

I don't want expensive perfumes, gems, or furs,

I don't even want you to buy a designer purse!

What I want for this Mother's Day you can't get in a mall,

All you need to do is make a simple call!

For this year, my mother's day wish list is very small indeed.

Stamping and scrapbooking items – that is all I need!

Just call my Stampin' Up! demo, Jane Hignite, today,

She'll help you along, she'll make it okay!

Just pick a few things from my short list below,

She'll order it and package it up with a bow!

Can't decide what to buy, too many choices for you?

A Stampin' Up! gift certificate would be wonderful too!

Thank you honey, thank you dear….

You know I love stamping all through the year!

2011-2012 Stamp Set Retirement List Ponderings

Well, last night I woke up when my son came home from his first DJ wedding gig.  It was 12:50 am CST and only 10 minutes from the unveiling of the stamp set retirement list so of course I stayed up and retrieved the list as soon as I could.

I am usually giddy with excitement because I do like seeing some of my stamp warehouse to be cleared.  Well, not so much this morning.  I lost a total of 55 sets so far (not counting the mini catalog sets).  What was a bit more upsetting was the fact that I will only have 30 "current" sets (again not counting mini catalog sets).  Talk about clearing out the warehouse!  Yowzers!

I'll get over it to be sure, and I'll be using these sets like crazy until the end of May.  LOVELY AS A TREE was spared thank goodness!  Which sets will I miss most?  Dasher, Grateful Greetings, I (Heart) Hearts, Totally Tool, Loads of Love, Under the Stars, Upsy Daisy, Flower Fest, Baroque Motifs, Sincere Salutations, and Thank You Kindly.

To top it all off, since many of those phrase sets were my go-to sets, I'll be weeding out hundreds of additionanl samples.  Some I may just change the greeting if nothing else is retired.  My sample bins will be pretty empty.

Here is the retired list:

The Accessory Retirement List comes out April 25th.  We already know that our jewelry line and Definitely Decorative line will be discontinued.  If there are any of these items on your must-have list, I'd get them now!

On a positive note, with all the stamp sets cleared out, I'll have lots of room for some brand-new Stampin' Up! stamp sets!  I can't wait to see the new catalog!!!!!
