Halloween Hello Shaker Card

Thank goodness for my craft hoarding…I picked up some fake spiders and pumpkin confetti many years ago.  They were perfect for this card!  I used my white gel pen for the polka dots around the scallop. Treat cups were used for this shaker card – they make them so easy!

Stampin’ Up! Spooktacular Sale – Post #2

Well today is the day! Stampin' Up! is offering 15% off all stamps (excluding hostess stamps, digital stamps, and stamps in a product bundle).

I am sweetening the deal with my customers for an additional 5% off! You can shop online until 11:59 pm (it will get very busy at that time) or call me and place it before 9:00 pm.

I also thought I would post a bunch of recent class samples to get your creative juices going. I'll be posting several times today so be sure to come back and see everything!

UPDATE – The stamps include our WHEELS too!!!!

Here is my second spooktacular sale card!  Did you know we have a new stamp pad called Illuminate Glimmer Watermark?  You can find this on page 23 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It is perfect for a night sky or a scary pumpkin face!  The illuminated pumpkin faces in the background remind me of my favorite Halloween movie – It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!  I'd sit with Linus in the pumpkin patch; wouldn't you?

 Jack of All Trades illum

P.S.  The bat is made using our new butterfly punch.  Punch one butterfly out of a scrap piece of paper, and then using the punched out piece, punch the bottom half of it again for this whimsical bat.  Add a gem for a little sparkle!

Stampin’ Up! Spooktacular Sale

Hello all!

I really don't want the Halloween season to end because that would mean I would have to put away one of my all-time favorite stamp sets – Googlie Ghouls.  Oh, how I have loved this stamp set since it was introduced in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Here is one of my favorite cards made with this set –

Googlie Ghouls Trio

I used the Web embossing folder with some silver shimmer paint in the background.

For all those in Frankenstorm's path – stay safe.  We are all praying for you!

Bubble Wrap Witchy Poo

Woo Hoo!  It is October!  I love this time of year.  Sadly, gone are the school trips to the pumpkin farms as my boys in middle and high school.  We'll still visit a pumpkin farm later this month, but now they can lift their own pumpkin and it doesn't take all day to find just the right one.

At last month's Technique Tuesday class, I taught the bubble wrap background technique.  It is super easy – and you can use any size of bubble wrap.  Just resist the temptation to pop it!

We used a brayer to get the ink on the bubble wrap.  Turn the inked-up bubbble wrap onto card stock and press down.

Googlie Ghouls is my new favorite Halloween set because I can easily make fun and quick cards!  Here is the card we made:

Spooky Bingo Bits Peekaboo Frame Halloween Card

The new Peekaboo Frame die for our Big Shot machine is one of the best new products in the Holiday Mini Catalog!  Here is an example of it with the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set (which fits the littler frames PERFECTLY).

Here is a close-up view of the "peekaboo" section:

I used the direct-to-paper technique with Wisteria Wonder ink on the Wisteria Wonder card stock.  I am obsessed with scrunching ribbon with my Sticky Strip.  This time I added a little bling on each end with a basic gem.  I stamped my RIP in Elegant Eggplant and punched it out with my 1-3/8" circle punch.  I adhere that piece down first and then used mini glue dots to adhere the frame down.

Keep in mind when you use the Peekaboo Frame die, you should only be using one piece of card stock at a time as it does cut and score.

PS….did you know this month you can receive a BIG SHOT for FREE?  All you have to do is sign up to be a recruit and purchase the kit for $175 (with a product value of over $350).  Most of this kit is customizable…plus you then get the FREE BIG SHOT (which is worth $99+).  What a great time to join the Stampin' Up! family!  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me.  I'd love you on my team!

Letterpress Trick or Treat Card

At this month's Technique Tuesday stamp class, I taught my customers how to use the new Letterpress option for our Big Shot machine.  Our craft spots and our watercolor paper are perfect for this technique.

The Trick or Treat Letterpress is quite large – I thought the Z fold card format made sense to showcase its bold image!

Punched Spooky Halloween Pumpkin Patch

Right now, our little 2-step owl is sure making the rounds on stamping blogs!!!  He can be modified to be almost anyone or anything!  Stampers just love this guy/girl!

Here is my take on a spooky Halloween pumpkin patch.  This is one of the cards my customers made this week at my Customer Appreciation Party for my 10-year anniversary!  They loved it!

Heat Embossed Spider Web Folder

At one of my Technique Tuesday stamp classes, I taught my customers a fabulous new technique using embossing folders.  Here is the card we made:

battyforyou-embossedfolder

To create this look, emboss with the embossing folder on glossy card stock.  Smoosh a VersaMark pad all over the embossed piece.  Sprinkle embossing powder and tap off excess powder.  Heat set the powder.  Voila!  For this card, we tore the edges off and added some bling with the new designer jewels.  We used the Batty for You and Grateful Greetings stamp sets too.

Greeting Card Kids

Here is another card made with Greeting Card Kids!  The technique used in this card is Watercolor Wash.  The Designer Series Paper is Autumn Spice from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  This is gorgeous paper – thicker than the usual DSP.
