100th Technique Tuesday Celebration

I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for over 16 years, and I adore my customers. Last night, we celebrated a huge milestone – my 100th Technique Tuesday class. With 100 classes, I taught over 300 techniques – quite a treasure trove of ideas!

We celebrated in many ways – we ate (like every other stamping event). I even had the local bakery put a quick “100” on the cake.

Door prizes were abundant at the event.  I did an all-guest door prize giveway.  I also shared a fun quiz for my guests to fill out with ten questions about the history of Technique Tuesday.  It was a four-way tie.  Some of their answers were devilishly funny.  I also did another door prize drawing for the three guests who have attended ALL 100 classes!  Thank you so much to Sandy Becker, Kellie Becker Marquardt, and Sue Hale for sharing my love of stamping and supporting my business.

On to stamping!  One of the cards we created last night was a Matchbook Birthday Card.  Using the Big on Birthdays stamp set and the Party Animal DSP and embellishments in the Occasions catalog plus the balloon punch and Emerald Envy ruched ribbon, we quickly put together this card.  Very fun and easy – thanks to Patty Bennett for the inspiration!

Thanks for all of your support in my business!  Here’s to the next 100 classes!

Monochromatic Monday – Sweet Sugarplum Butterflies

We are enjoying the last few days of summer here; in fact, school starts this week.  So before my blog goes all pumpkin spice and gingerbread cookie crazed, I thought I should put up one last summer card.

Today’s monochromatic color is Sweet Sugarplum.  Ok, whenever I look at this color all I can see is mauve.  So I challenged myself to create a card with it.

I did use the Fresh Fruits stamp set for the birthday phrase.  The butterfly punches, thinlits, and embossing folders coordinate nicely.  Love the rouched ribbon especially on this diagonal front.  And yes, pearls again.  I can’t help myself.

Hope you like it!
