Welcome to the blog of Jane Hignite, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Halloween Hello Viewmaster Card

Well, today is my official 13th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  I truly do LOVE being a demonstrator and sharing my knowledge of and passion for stamping.  I started teaching Technique Classes in August of 2007.  To date, I have taught 66 classes (next Tuesday it will be #67) – meaning I’ve shared over 198 techniques (201 next Tuesday) over the years.

This card features the Viewmaster Card Technique – a technique I learned at a regional event.  My customers made this card at August’s Technique Tuesday event!  It is a perfect card for those smaller stamp images.

I’d like to know what is your favorite stamping technique!  Share your name, email, and favorite technique, and I’ll put you in the drawing for a FREE TECHNIQUE CLASS FEE!

Secret Garden Get Well Card

I love the color combination I used with this card – Summer Starfruit, Cherry Cobbler, and Garden Green.  Want to know a great little tip?  When you are cutting out lots of layers for a card class, shoebox swap, or regular swap, save those 1″ strips and run them through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die.  I love just having a pile of them ready to go for quick and easy cards!

Fabulous Florets Tasteful Trim Card

Want a great way to use up thin strips of card stock?  Our Tasteful Trim die for the Big Shot is perfect for that!  I am a card stock scrap hoarder, but once in a while, I get the urge to purge or at least create with little pieces of card stock.  So I go through my scrap bin and pull out my Tasteful Trim die and make a bunch of faux ribbon!

Here's a card using Fabulous Florets, Sweet Essentials, the Perfect Pennants die, and our Tasteful Trim die.  Color combination is Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, and Garden Green.  Isn't the color combination perfect for summer?

Stampin’ Up! Spooktacular Sale – Post #2

Well today is the day! Stampin' Up! is offering 15% off all stamps (excluding hostess stamps, digital stamps, and stamps in a product bundle).

I am sweetening the deal with my customers for an additional 5% off! You can shop online until 11:59 pm (it will get very busy at that time) or call me and place it before 9:00 pm.

I also thought I would post a bunch of recent class samples to get your creative juices going. I'll be posting several times today so be sure to come back and see everything!

UPDATE – The stamps include our WHEELS too!!!!

Here is my second spooktacular sale card!  Did you know we have a new stamp pad called Illuminate Glimmer Watermark?  You can find this on page 23 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It is perfect for a night sky or a scary pumpkin face!  The illuminated pumpkin faces in the background remind me of my favorite Halloween movie – It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!  I'd sit with Linus in the pumpkin patch; wouldn't you?

P.S.  The bat is made using our new butterfly punch.  Punch one butterfly out of a scrap piece of paper, and then using the punched out piece, punch the bottom half of it again for this whimsical bat.  Add a gem for a little sparkle!
