Wacky Wednesday – Foxy Friends Trash Can Raccoon Party Animal

Hi everyone~

Yeah, best-laid plans for July just didn’t happen.  Sorry about that, but a little bit of life got in the way!

I’m starting out August in true Wacky Wednesday form.  I hosted a Foxy Friends Stamp Camp last night with some very excited stampers.  They have been going bonkers with this stamp set and were primed for a great night of stamping and punching fun.

I oftentimes look at Pinterest to start my planning of stamp camps; sometimes I CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) a project, and sometimes I just use it as a springboard to start my creative juices flowing.

The project I am sharing today is something that came to me late one night, and instead of sleeping, I planned out the pieces and parts of the card.  I just love this one and am happy to share it.  At last night’s event, the card was a horizontal orientation.  One of my customers flipped it, and I actually liked this way better.  Thanks, Linda!

Here it is.  Even a raccoon rummaging through trash is cute with this stamp set!

Christmas Stockings by the Hearth Card

Hello!

Welcome to the SU Stars Blog Hop…you've most likely arrived here from Raissa's blog www.raissastamps.com or the main page www.su-stars.blogspot.com.

If  you ever get lost along the way during the blog hop, you should go back to this main page to find the next stop. The theme of this blog hop is Holiday Hoopla!

Today I am sharing one of my cards from this week's Holiday Cards Stamp Camp.  My customers loved making this card.  Colors used are Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White.  The phrase is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

Stocking Punch Heart

The strips of the hearth were distressed with one of the inks from the distressing kit. Then the top piece was punched with the scallop border punch. Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon is on the top of the hearth. The phrase from Delightful Dozen was inked in Garden Green.

The stockings are incredibly easy with our new stocking punch. The bows were made out of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and attached with mini glue dots. Instead of threading the twine through the holes of the bells, the bells were also attached with a mini glue dot. The stockings were attached to the hearth with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the fire in the fireplace, all you need is the Stocking Punch and Early Espresso and More Mustard card stock.  Punch with Early Espresso once (the top of the stocking) and More Mustard three times (the heel portion).  You will cut the Early Espresso punch piece in half.  Now just place the pieces as shown above.

Thanks for stopping by!  The next stop on the blog hop is Denise Foor's blog http://www.denisefoor.blogspot.com/
