Rosie the Maid (The Jetsons) Punch Card
Happy National No Housework Day!
My recent punch class featured this little beauty – I’m calling her my Rosie the Maid card.
The phrase is from Celebrate Today. I love the Pacific Point, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, and Smoky Slate color combination. This is perfect for a little boy’s card or scrapbook page!

Talk Like a Pirate Day Card
Talk Like a Pirate Day – believe it or not, it is the 20th Anniversary of this holiday! It all began in 1995 with two guys deciding on the date while playing racquetball. If you want more details, check out this web page – http://www.talklikeapirate.com/about.html
So, I decided to create a card just for the occasion. I love the new Black Glitter Paper and the Howl-O-Ween Treat stamp set and Boo to You Framelits – they worked perfectly for this card!
May ye find black glitter in ye stamping treasure!

Secret Garden Thinking of You Card
Here is another collage-style card made from a One Sheet Wonder page. Love those! The phrase is from the Wetlands stamp set; the flowers are from Secret Garden.

Secret Garden Simple Friends Card
Have you guessed I love our Secret Garden stamp set? This is a swap card I made for one of my online swap groups last spring. I love the simplicity and the color combination.

Secret Garden Calypso Coral Card
This is a new color combination for me – Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi. The Stripes embossing folder adds a little depth to the card too. Sweet and simple – hope you like it!

White Embossed Swallowtail
A few of the items used in this card are retired…but it is so pretty I wanted to be sure I shared it. I'm hoarding my glossy card stock .

Secret Garden Watermisting Card
I love our watercolor paper – it is so thick and absorbs watercoloring techniques so well. Here is a card made using the Secret Garden stamp set and the Water Misting x2 technique.

Secret Garden Square Lattice Card
Secret Garden is another stamp set carried over from the Occasions Mini Catalog that I love! The bold images have such a tropical feel. Not quite enough to bring out my coconut bra, but I do hear the Hawaiian guitars strumming in the background when I use this set.
I used the Square Lattice embossing folder after I stamped the images. I doubled up on the butterfly punch and attached the top, folded one with a glue dot. My stampers never used the ticket punch before – it is perfect for some of our smaller phrases (this phrase is from Sweet Essentials)! Now that I look again at the card, I need to add some gems to the centers of the butterflies. They need a little sparkle!

Swallowtail Duo Embossing With Faux Stone Background
Thank goodness Swallowtail made it into the new catalog. I would have been weeping for days if it was retired. Believe it or not, I'm not really a butterfly gal, but I love this one. There are stamp sets that are just meant to use with techniques. Swallowtail is one of them.
At a recent Technique Tuesday, I taught my stampers how to do Duo Embossing. The key part for this technique is not to tap off the excess like you usually would. You need to sprinkle the lightest color embossing powder where you want it first then quickly flip it upside down and then tap off the excess. Then put the darker embossing powder over the remaining section and tap off and heat as usual.
In addition, I brought out one of my homemade stamps which works perfectly for a Faux Stone background. All I did was cut up pieces of unused rubber and attach it to a blank block. Ink it up and stamp on card stock!
Here was the finished card:

2013 Birthday Blowout Stamp-A-Stack
Tomorrow I'm hosting my annual Birthday Blowout Stamp-A-Stack. My guests can choose either the "express" option (one card of each for $5.00) or the full SAS option – 12 cards for $15.00. If you live in the area and would like to join us, send me an email! Here are the three cards we will be making:
The first card uses my newest stamp set – SWALLOWTAIL. I've seen some gorgeous examples using this stamp set, and I wanted to give my spin to it. The butterfly punch is new too.
The second card features FEELING SENTIMENTAL, a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, and Parker's Patterns DSP. If you spend $50.00, you can get this vintage-feel stamp set for FREE! Pennants are quite the rage right now in crafting.
The third card is inspired by fellow demonstrator, Mary Fish. I used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set PATTERNED OCCASIONS and the Sycamore Street DSP and Button and Ribbon Pack.
Well, I hope my stampers enjoy making these cards!
