An Open Heart Thank You Card

Trying a new color combination is pretty easy to do when you have such a wealth of gorgeous colors as in the Stampin’ Up! line of inks/card stock.  I am loving this combo – Island Indigo and Early Espresso with the gold glimmer paper.  Striking, masculine (but not overly), and inspired by Autumn.

Sometimes, mailing cards with lots of embellishments is disastrous – either the envelope gets ripped, postage gets expensive, or the embellishment gets mutilated.  It really doesn’t happen too often, but it is also good to have a quick and easy go-to alternative.  I love polka dots in almost any form.  Creating glitter circles is super quick, cheap, and fuss-free plus it adds just enough wow to a card.

Angel Punch Art with Pennant Punch

This summer I hosted a Crazy About the Pennant Punch stamp camp.  We really were a little crazy that evening!  I wanted to bring in a Christmas card to the mix, so I shared this one with my stampers.  It really goes together quickly!

Christmas Angel Pennant Punch

Punches needed are as follows:

  • Pennant Punch for dress
  • Scallop Circle for wings
  • Owl for hair and heart
  • 1″ Circle for hair bangs and face
  • Cupcake for cheeks
  • 1/2″ and 3/4″ Circles for halo

Of course, the Scalloped Tag Punch is the backing for the angel.

Although this is a Christmas card, it could easily be transformed into a child’s birthday card, a thank you card, a baby card, or even a get well card!

In my religion, today is also All Saints Day so although it is not a traditional card-giving holiday, it does go with the theme of the day.

Something for Baby – T Shirt Mosaic

Baby, baby, baby…can’t seem to get them off my mind!  I have never used this color combination, but I like it!  Daffodil Delight (it looks a bit more like So Saffron in the picture-sorry), Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party packs a cute punch!
