Wood in a Window Hello Card
This is one of the techniques I taught my stampers this week. I called it Wood in a Window. The Hardwood background stamp is fabulous in so many applications. However, sometimes, a portion of the background is perfect like I did here:
This technique is a masking technique.
I used a piece of copy paper larger than the top layer of the card; I then ran it through the Big Shot with a Circle framelit. Once the background was inked (and left facing up), I put the copy paper mask on top followed by the Very Vanilla layer. After smoothing the layer over the background, I lifted it off and let quickly dry.
I then reused the mask over the Very Vanilla layer to stamp the flowers (from the Flowering Fields Sale-A-Bration stamp set). I colored them in with markers and added the hello phrase from the Hello Sale-A-Bration stamp set and the butterfly from the Flowering Fields stamp set.
A perfect card to send to someone who may need their spirits lifted!
