Splattered Glitter Glue Technique
I taught this technique at my last Technique Tuesday class, and it was a huge hit. Who doesn’t LOVE glitter? It is the applying of it that kind of drives us all crazy.
I found a new method of getting glitter on a card – the splattered glitter glue technique.
What you need for this technique is Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Aquapainters filled with water, a deli lid or a empty stamp case lid, and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. This technique works best with a prestamped/precolored image.
- On the deli lid/stamp case lid, squeeze out some glue and dilute it with water until it makes a milkier liquid.
- Wet the tip of the Aquapainter with water and then dip it in the glue liquid.
- Tap out the glue all over the stamped image in a splattered pattern. Try not to get too close – this tends to leave glue “blobs” not glue “splatters”.
- Pour Dazzling Diamonds over the card stock and tap off excess. Let dry and attach to card base.
- Add any embellishments.
Here is the card we made. Yes, it is from Sale-A-Bration, but isn’t it so darn pretty?
