Birthday Blowout Sale-A-Bration Birthday Card

Every year I host a Birthday Blowout stamp camp.  My stampers make cards for women, men, and kids.  The easy coloring for the Big Day stamp set makes it perfect to create many cards in a short amount of time.  Here is the card we made:

The large polka dot embossing folder and the DSP polka dots are so much fun!

Wetlands Embossed Woodgrain Card

Here’s a simple, easy card using the Woodgrain embossing folder and the distressing kit.  Sorry about the bad picture 🙁

Gently Falling Embossed Acorn Thank You Card

Last year (yes, you read that right LAST YEAR), I created a One Sheet Wonder image sheet for a swap using Gently Falling.  That set is PERFECT to use for One Sheet Wonders!  I have created several cards from that one image sheet.  Trust me, you’ll be seeing more of these in upcoming posts!

I love that little acorn in the stamp set – I paired it with the Autumn Accents die acorn (which was embossed here) for this card.   The phrase is from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.

Gently Falling Two-Step Thank You Card

Two-step stamping has been around forever (thanks to always fabulous Stampin’ Up! stamp sets), but it is not forefront and center these days.  I’m not sure why – as it is a perfect technique when you don’t want to take the time to color in your fine-lined stamp images.

Here’s a pretty but simple two-step stamped card with Gently Falling.  I added some distressing to the embossed folder by taking my inkpad and smooshing over the top of the embossed card stock.

Color combination is Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Tangerine Tango, and Early Espresso…love it!

Thoughts & Prayers Thinking of You Card

The tree from Thoughts & Prayers is such a lovely, classic image.  Simple, elegant, and a different color combination for me – Soft Suede, Early Espresso, and Island Indigo.

Zoo Babies Midnight Giraffe

Well, the kids are back at the zoo, I mean school.  Just kidding of course.  I’ve still got a little “stamp crush” on Zoo Babies.  This time, I paired the giraffe with Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler, and Garden Green.  Such a simple card but great to have in your card stash for babies, birthdays, and other celebrations.

A Long Farewell to the Summer Mini Catalog

Summer, along with the Summer Mini Catalog, is coming to an end.  Sail Away and The Open Sea stamp sets became favorites this summer; sadly, they will not be available after tomorrow.  I thought I would share a few of my favorite samples:

Sail Away

The Open Sea-anchor dsp

The Open Sea-scored triangle

The Open Sea-embossed wood

Ah, summer – I do wish it would linger a little longer.  The kids go back to school on Thursday; therefore, I should have more time to concentrate on my blog entries!
