Welcome to the blog of Jane Hignite, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

100th Technique Tuesday Celebration

I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for over 16 years, and I adore my customers. Last night, we celebrated a huge milestone – my 100th Technique Tuesday class. With 100 classes, I taught over 300 techniques – quite a treasure trove of ideas!

We celebrated in many ways – we ate (like every other stamping event). I even had the local bakery put a quick “100” on the cake.

Door prizes were abundant at the event.  I did an all-guest door prize giveway.  I also shared a fun quiz for my guests to fill out with ten questions about the history of Technique Tuesday.  It was a four-way tie.  Some of their answers were devilishly funny.  I also did another door prize drawing for the three guests who have attended ALL 100 classes!  Thank you so much to Sandy Becker, Kellie Becker Marquardt, and Sue Hale for sharing my love of stamping and supporting my business.

On to stamping!  One of the cards we created last night was a Matchbook Birthday Card.  Using the Big on Birthdays stamp set and the Party Animal DSP and embellishments in the Occasions catalog plus the balloon punch and Emerald Envy ruched ribbon, we quickly put together this card.  Very fun and easy – thanks to Patty Bennett for the inspiration!

Thanks for all of your support in my business!  Here’s to the next 100 classes!

Farewell From the Herd

One of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog was From the Herd.  My fellow demonstrators who were with me at the Wisconsin premiere still remember me laughing out loud when this stamp set came on the screen.  So stinkin’ cute – especially that silly llama.

Well, last week, I had to use it one last time at my Technique Tuesday class.  Here it is using the Fencepost Flip Card Technique:
