Sticky Strip Embossing – Dragonfly Card
I have hosted Technique Tuesdays in my home once a month for over 11 years. That’s a lot of techniques! Over the summer, I reorganized my technique packs and found I was missing an example. Well, rather than going back to a retired set, I re-envisioned it with a current stamp set.
This technique was Sticky Strip Embossing – a SUPER EASY technique. Use your embossing buddy as usual, but create a bold line of embossing by putting down a stripe of Sticky Strip. Then sprinkle your embossing powder right over hit, tap off the excess, and heat emboss until melted.

Totally Trees Step It Up Saturday
I knew I wanted to share this step-it-up set of cards on World Card-Making Day.
The first card was a simple but lovely card created for the Fabulous Fall Stamp Camp. We used the Totally Trees stamp set and the Rose Wonder stamp set for the phrase. Also used for this card was the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (sorry, not one on sale), Layering Squares Framelits, and the Ribbon Trio Pack. We did double dip the inking of leaves on this card – start with the lightest color and before stamping lightly restamp into a darker color.
But even though I liked this card, I knew it was a perfect card to step up.
I added another vertical layer behind the DSP, tied a knot with ribbon, added three copper circles, and embossed both the phrase and the leaves on the tree. Some very simple changes, but they really make this card pop.
Show me some love and subscribe to my blog. At the end of October, I will review all new subscribers, and if they have ordered from me, I will put them into a random door prize drawing for a $10 gift certificate.
