Welcome to the blog of Jane Hignite, Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Snow Much Fun Slider Card

Welcome to the SU Stars Blog Hop…you've most likely arrived here from the main page www.su-stars.blogspot.com   If you ever get lost along the way during the blog hop, you should go back to this main page to find the next stop.  The theme of this blog hop is movers, shakers, and mini-catalog make and takers!!

I can't seem to get the new Snow Much Fun stamp set off my stamping table.  I don't think my customers are too surprised about that!  I've created a fabulous moving card using the slider card technique.

Christmas Card Superstars-Card 1 Open

Here are the supplies you need:

  • Basic Black/Real Red/Whisper White card stock
  • Snow Much Fun/Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set
  • Stazon Black/Real Red ink pads
  • Markers – I used Basic Gray, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, and Pumpkin Pie
  • Word Window/Modern Label Punches/Crop-A-Dile
  • Real Red Ribbon
  • Sticky Strip/2-Way Glue/Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
  • Paper Cutter/Scoring Blade/Bone Folder/Adhesive/Scissors

Here are the directions:

  1. Score a half-sheet of Basic Black card stock at 2-1/4" and 6-1/4".
  2. Put a piece of Sticky Strip on the inside of one side.  Take off red tape and adhere to other side.
  3. Stamp images on front and inside Whisper White pieces in Stazon Black.
  4. Color in images with markers.
  5. Highlight snowman, ground, and snowball with Dazzling Diamonds glitter and 2-Way Glue.
  6. Stamp front phrase in Real Red and punch out with Word Window.  Punch out Real Red piece with Modern Label Punch.
  7. Stamp inside phrase in Real Red.
  8. Mount all pieces keeping the inside piece separate from the base.
  9. Make a center mark on base Whisper White piece – punch large hole through all the base layers with Crop-A-Dile.
  10. Thread ribbon through center.
  11. Push down ribbon with inside piece until invisible.  Inside piece will then rest on ribbon.
  12. Tie bow.
  13. Pull up the inside piece using bow as the lever.
