SUDSOL Holiday Blog Tour
Welcome! Today I am part of the SUDSOL Holiday Blog Tour! If you are taking the tour, you probably came from the home page on SUDSOL.
The 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog is full of fabulous products. Some of my favorites are highlighted in my blog post today.
My first project is a workshop card my customers made last month. They loved it!
I love the Peekaboo Frames die – you flip the bottom up, and put one of the snowman from Snow Much Fun on the inside!
Snow Much Fun Peekaboo Card Supply List
- Very Vanilla/Chocolate Chip/Real Red CS
- Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
- Peekaboo Frame Die/Big Shot
- Snow Much Fun Stamp Set
- Real Red/Chocolate Chip Ink
- Various Markers
- Decorative Label/Wide Oval/Modern Label/Snowflake Punches
- Basic Pearls/Velvet Ribbon
My second project for the Holiday Blog Tour uses one of the many wonderful templates/patterns from the SUDSOL library! Nancy Morgan shared this pattern on SUDSOL – an Easy Gift Card Holder. I updated with current supplies. Here's my sample:
Easy Gift Card Holder Supplies
- Chocolate Chip/Real Red/Wild Wasabi/Very Vanilla CS
- Real Red/More Mustard Markers
- Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set
- Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper
- Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon
- 1" Circle/1" Square/Curly Label/Corner Rounder Punches
- Big Shot/Buttons Embosslit
- Scoring Tool
- Mini Glue Dots
I made a few minor changes from the original pattern – I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the gift card to the holder rather than using the retired Slit Punch and I used the new luxurious Velvet Ribbon instead of the stretch ribbon.
I love using the Buttons Embosslit to make inexpensive buttons! You could even put Crystal Effects on them if you wanted them to shine!
My final project is just adorable! Our new Holiday Stocking die can be used to decorate in so many ways! I created my Santa's Key Stocking to hang from the tree – but you could even hang it from a door handle! I actually used two of the stocking dies back to back for a little more strength. You could even use fabric or felt!
Santa's Key Stocking Supplies
- Big Shot/Holiday Stocking Die/Stocking Accents Die
- Clear Circle Die/3-1/2" Circle Die
- Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set
- Real Red/Wild Wasabi/Very Vanilla CS
- Real Red Ink
- Red Glitter Paper
- Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper
- Hemp/Key/Velvet Ribbon/Vintage Button
- CropADile
I know the print is small on the hanging tag – here is the poem:
As you can plainly see
But we still want you to visit,
So just use this magic key!
We don't have a chimney for you to climb through,
But if you don't visit my our house I don't know what I'll do.
As long as we hang it out in a place you're sure to see.
So we're leaving this old key right outside our door
Saying our prayers, jumping in bed, and we won't worry anymore.
Thanks for stopping by! |

25 Days of Holiday Projects – Day 20
This is a cute little gift card holder I made at a workshop last month. It uses my all-time favorite Stampin’ Up! exclusive die – TOP NOTE! The main stamp set is Jolliest Time of the Year. I just love snowmen! Just put a little adhesive on the sides and bottom of the designer series paper so you can slip the gift card in and out of the holder.
