Fabulous Friday – Mixed Drinks Wedding Card

For this week’s Fabulous Friday post, I had to start thinking about creating a wedding card for a special couple.  I am not sure this will be my final draft, but I do like the glimmer!

I used the Mixed Drinks and the Thoughtful Banners stamp sets, the Project Life and the new layering circles framelits, the Hearts embossing folder, the hearts border punch, and a little Wink of Stella for the drink shimmer.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I had a post all ready to go yesterday, and for some reason, it just wasn’t showing up.  So I missed my holiday greeting for Valentine’s Day.  I did post it on Facebook and Pinterest, but wanted to share it here.

2016 Valentine love

This card features the almost-retired Perfectly Artistic designer series paper.  Today is the LAST day you can get it!  On one side, there is a shaving cream-style background; on the other side is an ombre-style background.  I used the Going Global stamp set and the You’re So Sweet stamp set for the focal image.  The Little Letters thinlets and the Happy Heart embossing folder were also used.

An Open Heart Thank You Card

Trying a new color combination is pretty easy to do when you have such a wealth of gorgeous colors as in the Stampin’ Up! line of inks/card stock.  I am loving this combo – Island Indigo and Early Espresso with the gold glimmer paper.  Striking, masculine (but not overly), and inspired by Autumn.

Sometimes, mailing cards with lots of embellishments is disastrous – either the envelope gets ripped, postage gets expensive, or the embellishment gets mutilated.  It really doesn’t happen too often, but it is also good to have a quick and easy go-to alternative.  I love polka dots in almost any form.  Creating glitter circles is super quick, cheap, and fuss-free plus it adds just enough wow to a card.
