VC Rocks July Blog Hop – Daydream Medallions Extras!

I am so excited to be part of the VC Rocks Blog Hop this month.  We are sharing gift and non-card projects.  You probably came from June Reister's blog – www.junescreations.blogspot.com .  If you ever get lost along the way, you can always start at the beginning – www.vcrocks.blogspot.com

One of the stamp sets I ordered for my Sale-A-Bration rewards this year was Daydream Medallions.  It was one of the most expensive stamp sets in the catalog.  Here is the stamp set (it does come with 2 stamp boxes):

This is a great set all by itself, but did you know there are EXTRA parts?  Be careful when you are mounting your stamp set – save all the extra rubber die cuts.  Why you ask?

See those larger three stamps?  They each came with a diecut inside that easily pops out.  Lovely, perfect circles.  DO NOT THROW THESE OUT!  Instead, find some extra blocks and mount those circles.

I have used these circles more than the actual Daydream Medallions stamp set.

One of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog is Googly Ghouls.  I knew I had to have it!  I created a fun little gift tag for a spooktacular treat:

I used Wisteria Wonder card stock and stamped the circles in Wisteria Wonder as well.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits with my Big Shot for the tag.  Then I embossed the Frankenstein, bat, and booo phrase in a mixture of Black and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I covered the top of the beaker with the new ribbon in the Holiday Catalog attached the tag with white Baker's Twine.  I popped up that little bat with a Stampin' Dimensional.  Here's a close-up of the tag:

Another project I created with those fabulous circles is this recipe scrapbook page:

This is the punch I serve at my annual Catalog Pick-Up Party.  It is a crowd pleaser to be sure.  The wine glass stamp is from the new Embellished Events stamp set, and the "cheers!" stamp is from the new Happy Hour stamp set (another favorite of mine).

I hope you've enjoyed this stop on the blog hop.  Karen Gibson's blog – www.kraftingwithkaren.blogspot.com – is your next stop.  Enjoy!
