Gently Falling Collage Acorn Card

I’m still using that One Sheet Wonder image sheet – here’s one with embossed acorns made from the Autumn Accents die and the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The wood button give the card a more earthy, rustic feel.  The phrase is from Six-Sided Sampler

World Card-Making Day – Gently Falling Oak Leaf Card

Today is World Card-Making Day!   What cards do you need to make?  I can always use “Thinking of You” cards – they serve so many purposes!

Love this color combination for fall – Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, and Brushed Gold.  So very elegant.  The leaf was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Sending cards with lots of embellishments can be tricky with the postal service.  So here’s a quick tip – use cardstock circles instead of brads.  They add interest, layers, but not a lot of bulk.  This way the card can be easily mailed.

Gently Falling Embossed Acorn Thank You Card

Last year (yes, you read that right LAST YEAR), I created a One Sheet Wonder image sheet for a swap using Gently Falling.  That set is PERFECT to use for One Sheet Wonders!  I have created several cards from that one image sheet.  Trust me, you’ll be seeing more of these in upcoming posts!

I love that little acorn in the stamp set – I paired it with the Autumn Accents die acorn (which was embossed here) for this card.   The phrase is from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set.

Gently Falling Two-Step Thank You Card

Two-step stamping has been around forever (thanks to always fabulous Stampin’ Up! stamp sets), but it is not forefront and center these days.  I’m not sure why – as it is a perfect technique when you don’t want to take the time to color in your fine-lined stamp images.

Here’s a pretty but simple two-step stamped card with Gently Falling.  I added some distressing to the embossed folder by taking my inkpad and smooshing over the top of the embossed card stock.

Color combination is Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Tangerine Tango, and Early Espresso…love it!
