An Open Heart Thank You Card
Trying a new color combination is pretty easy to do when you have such a wealth of gorgeous colors as in the Stampin’ Up! line of inks/card stock. I am loving this combo – Island Indigo and Early Espresso with the gold glimmer paper. Striking, masculine (but not overly), and inspired by Autumn.
Sometimes, mailing cards with lots of embellishments is disastrous – either the envelope gets ripped, postage gets expensive, or the embellishment gets mutilated. It really doesn’t happen too often, but it is also good to have a quick and easy go-to alternative. I love polka dots in almost any form. Creating glitter circles is super quick, cheap, and fuss-free plus it adds just enough wow to a card.

An Open Heart – Woodgrain Scallop Tag
A simply quiet card with masculine undertones…love this stamp set.

An Open Heart – Oval Die
I’ve had many friends and relatives face tough times this year. This card would fit many of the occasions.

An Open Heart – Sympathy Card
This simple sympathy card was made with Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand inks and card stock. Even without the bird, I love the stamp set.

An Open Heart – Branch Collage
Our new thick twine works perfectly with our more “natural” stamp sets like An Open Heart. It is great to use as an accent with masculine cards too!

An Open Heart – Circle Woodgrain Card
In my very long “short” list, An Open Heart was first on new sets to purchase. The bird and the branch nature theme as well as the phrase choices spoke to me.
Our new cotton ribbons are wonderful to work with – thin enough yet manageable for many projects.
The woodgrain embossing folder pairs nicely with this set too.
