Beautiful Bunch – Tie Dye Circles Card
At my Technique Tuesday class this week, I taught my stampers the Tie Dye Circles technique. I love this technique – it is a great watercoloring method.
You will burnish three colors of various intensities into your watercolor paper – lightest shade first to cover the largest area and then move in with your middle shade. Finally, you will sponge in the darkest shade in the center – but keep in mind to go for a more natural look – it looks more artistic and whimsical with varying circles.
You will then take an AquaPainter (or a plain paintbrush and water) and go around the circles – again, starting with the lightest. You are basically taking away ink from the circles.
Set aside and let dry or, if you are in a hurry, use your heat gun on it!
Finished this card off with seam binding, the butterfly punch and pearl, and a phrase from A Dozen Thoughts. My color combination was Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Blackberry Bliss!
