Valentine’s Day Card Kit
Hello all!
I just posted my Valentine's Day Card Kit. Here is the card:
This is a fun type of card called an easel card. More information and pictures can be found HERE.

Filled With Love Samples
I was hoping to have lots of time to make dozens of samples with one of my newer stamp sets. Best-laid plans! Oh well, I did want to share the few I did get stamped:
On this card, I used one of my leftover pieces of a waxed resist background and heat embossed the LOVE in Winter White. Yes, I keep a stash of technique backgrounds at my stamping table. When I am trying out a new background technique, I always get a few extra prepped so when I do have time to complete cards, I've got a variety of backgrounds to use. In fact, sometimes the backgrounds lead me on my own little creativity journey!
The I heart YOU phrase is a new rub-on from Stampin' Up!. The DSP is the Love Patterns DSP from the Filled With Love special. I added the black glitter brads, but you could also use the free clear bitty buttons from the special as well.
This card uses our largest scallop circle die and embossed and sponged. My camera didn't pick up the color very well – it is Pretty in Pink. I'm very fond of this ribbon too!
Ok, I'm not 100% happy with this one. I used the Bingo Blaster background technique which is fabulous…but I'm not keen on the layout. I did like using my wide oval punch to back the Thought of you… phrase. All I did was punch two and overlap. I'm doing that quite a bit with my punches these days!
This special is going on through Monday, January 24th (it does end before Sale-A-Bration starts). I will be placing an order on Saturday morning, but you can also shop online HERE.
You can choose between wood mount ($32.90 plus shipping and tax) or clear mount ($26.90 plus shipping and tax). Here are the images:
There are 12 sheets total – three 12" x 12" sheets of two double-sided designs in Real Red and Pretty in Pink.
There are 64 total buttons.

Punch Bunch Shaving Cream Valentine
Welcome to the SU Stars Blog Hop.. you've most likely arrived here from http://www.raissastamps.com .
If you want to start at the beginning, the home page is http://su-stars.blogspot.com/2011/01/sustars-hop-201101.html .
One of the most requested techniques from my customers is the shaving cream technique. I taught my new recruits this technique last night. It is always a crowd pleaser! Here is the finished card:
The Crumb Cake piece is actually attached to the front of the card so when you flip it open you can write on the inside.
The Punch Bunch stamp set is one of the Sale-A-Bration sets you can pick out this year. The Owl stamp and the True Friend stamp are from Punch Bunch; the Heart stamp is from the current special stamp set – Filled with Love (check it out on the top right side of my blog); and the Happy Valentine's Day stamp is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. You could easily change this card to an anniversary, friendship, thank you, or birthday card by just changing that last stamp! This color combination is perfect for masculine cards.
SALE-A-BRATION starts on January 25th! Contact me if you want to place an order, host a workshop, or sign up to be a demonstrator!

Brayered Specialty Paper
Last night was Technique Tuesday Stamp Class! Somethings that can be easily overlooked in the Stampin’ Up! catalog are the many kinds of designer papers. There are lots to choose from to be sure! Here is a picture of one example of the Bride Specialty Paper (there are two designs – one is this swirl; the other is a stripe):
Although very pretty, it may not jump out at you in the catalog. At last night’s class, I showed my stampers a great WOW technique – Brayered Specialty Paper. It works best with the Bride paper (white) and the Bridesmaid paper (vanilla), but it doesn’t work with the Groom paper as it is BLACK. Just by using your brayer/inkpad/soft cloth (to remove excess ink from the glossy parts), you can customize the specialty paper to whatever color you want! That same paper now coordinates with my Rich Razzleberry cardstock! I even brayered an extra piece for my punches!
This was definitely the favorite card last night! I hope you like it too!

All About Men Valentine Card
My customers made this card during my All About Men Stamp Camp last week. I actually tweaked it a bit and added gold brads on the Real Red piece about the heart corner punch. This card had pizzazz, but is was not too froo-froo for a male recipient.
The glittery Sending Love DSP is to die for! I can’t wait to use it all up! That heart corner punch is darling too! I absolutely love the font of Whimsical Words. I am hoping to see more of this style in next year’s catalog.
I enjoy hosting an All About Men Stamp Camp each year. Most of my customers find it difficult to stamp for the men in their lives. As I told my stampers, even a floral stamp set can be used to create a masculine-themed card if they plan their colors accordingly.

Under the Stars Valentine
This adorable bear is holding lots of hearts in honor of St. Valentine’s Day!
The background technique on this card is called brayered lines – all you need is a rubber brayer and an inkpad or two!
