Beautiful Bunch – Tie Dye Circles Card
At my Technique Tuesday class this week, I taught my stampers the Tie Dye Circles technique. I love this technique – it is a great watercoloring method.
You will burnish three colors of various intensities into your watercolor paper – lightest shade first to cover the largest area and then move in with your middle shade. Finally, you will sponge in the darkest shade in the center – but keep in mind to go for a more natural look – it looks more artistic and whimsical with varying circles.
You will then take an AquaPainter (or a plain paintbrush and water) and go around the circles – again, starting with the lightest. You are basically taking away ink from the circles.
Set aside and let dry or, if you are in a hurry, use your heat gun on it!
Finished this card off with seam binding, the butterfly punch and pearl, and a phrase from A Dozen Thoughts. My color combination was Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, and Blackberry Bliss!

Secret Garden Painted Overlay Birthday Card
At last month's Technique Tuesday class, I taught my stampers the Craft White Painted Overlay technique. This is a great way to color in line image stamps. Here is the card we created:
The colors used for this card were Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Primrose Petals – love this combo!

Lovely as a Tree Simple Swipes Card
If you don't have the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in your collection, you are really missing out on a classic! I believe this is one of the oldest current catalog stamp sets available. This stamp set is one of my go-tos when it comes to techniques!
At February's Technique Tuesday, I taught the Simple Swipes technique – oh so easy with a great watercoloring effect!
I used Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, and Marina Mist watercolor crayons and my AquaPainter to achieve this landscape effect. I'll be making up a bunch of these to swap at Milwaukee Regionals.

A Long Farewell to Autumn Harvest
Today's long farewell is to Autumn Harvest. This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets! The stamp set can be used for both elegant and whimsical cards…leave out the cute little face and you've got a fabulous card like this….
Then, if you wanted a sweet little card to send to your favorite pumpkin, add the face image like this card:
You could even leave out the pumpkin all together! Here is a rich-looking card using only the leaf from the stamp set!
